Farquhar Design Kitchens was established in 2005 and in the ensuing years has built a reputation for high quality craftsmanship, producing intrinsically robust, high-end kitchens and joinery.

Entrepreneur Hailee Gentleman whom has been actively involved over the years in the Christchurch rebuild as well as keeping her finger on the pulse as a striving Project Manager and Kitchen Designer, bought the local business FDK from in 2018. Hailee and the team are focused on continuing to build on the Farquhar reputation.

Combined the Farquhar team have invested over 50 years of time, seeing many trends come and go, however remain stedfast in the Farquhar seal of design approval.

We service customers in Tauranga, Papamoa, Te Puke and throughout the Bay of Plenty region.

Our 10 Year Warranty – what does it mean?

Every custom kitchen that leaves our premises and installed in your home comes with the FDK 10 Year Warranty. This means we will warrant against any defect of workmanship for 10 years from the date of payment in full of your Farquhar Design Kitchen. Meet the Team

HAILEE GENTLEMAN – KITCHEN DESIGNER / MANAGING DIRECTOR

Hailee’s background in the construction industry and qualifications in project management and kitchen design provides her with a depth of knowledge and skill in her management of Farquhar Design Kitchens. Originally from Christchurch, her entire career has been focussed on the coordination and organisation involved in residential building and kitchen manufacturing. After selling her highly successful Christchurch kitchen company she moved to Tauranga in 2018 and bought Farquhar Design Kitchens from Gavin.
 

MALCOLM STOTT – CABINET MAKER

Malcolm has recently re-joined the Farquhar team after a break from the industry pursuing a career as an orchardist. Malcolm originally trained with our master joiner Andy Collins and brings with him a fantastic skillset as a cabinet maker and kitchen installer.
 

ANDY COLLINS – MASTER JOINER/CABINET MAKER

Andy has been a joiner all his life. He moved to New Zealand from Jersey in the Channel Islands over 25 years ago and immediately settled in Tauranga with his wife. With an impressive career working for a number of overseas and local construction and joinery companies, Andy came to Farquhar Design Kitchens in 2004 and has been here ever since. He is a true craftsman who is a passionate about joinery and cabinetmaking.
